Englewood Parks & Recreation Softball Program Code of Conduct

  1. NO PLAYER SHALL: At any time lay hand upon, push, shove or threaten to strike an official.
    PENALTY: Officials are required to immediately suspend play and report such player to Softball Field Supervisor. Such player shall remain suspended until his/her case has been considered

  2. NO PLAYER SHALL: Refuse to abide by the official's decision.
    PENALTY: Officials are required to immediately suspend the player from further play and report such player to Softball Field Supervisor. Such player shall remain suspended until his/her case has been considered.

  3. NO PLAYER SHALL: Be guilty of using unnecessary rough tactics in the play of the game against the body and person of any opposing player.
    PENALTY: The officials are required to immediately suspend the player from further play.

  4. NO PLAYER SHALL: Be guilty of physical attack as an aggressor upon any player, official or spectator.
    PENALTY: Officials are required to immediately suspend the player from further play and the player is immediately suspended from the league until his/her case has been considered. If the violation is repeated then said violator may be banned from further league competition.

  5. NO PLAYER SHALL: Use of profane, obscene of vulgar language in any manner, at any time during the game.
    PENALTY: Same as Number 3.

  6. NO PLAYER SHALL: Appear upon the field of play at any time in an intoxicated condition.
    PENALTY: Same as Number 3.

  7. NO PLAYER SHALL: Be guilty of gambling upon any play or outcome of the game with any spectator, player and or opponent
    PENALTY: Same as Number 2.

  8. NO PLAYER SHALL: Smoke while going on or coming off the field of play, while on the field or in the dugouts.
    PENALTY: Officials are required to warn player(s) guilty of this code, and failure of such players to comply will result in removal from the game.

  9. NO PLAYER SHALL: Be guilty of intentionally throwing a bat.
    PENALTY: Officials are required to immediately remove the player from the game.
Repeated violations of these rules can be grounds for suspension from league by the Englewood Recreation Department.
