Englewood Parks & Recreation Department Basketball Rules

1. Players must be 16 years old.
2. Unlimited Rosters - rosters are frozen approximately at the midpoint of the overall season. After this date a fee of $48.00 will be assessed to all players added to the roster. Fees are non-transferable on the day of the first scheduled league game.
3. If a team wishes to add a player to their roster once the team roster has been submitted the player must fill out a player add form at the Englewood Recreation Center and pay the proper fee.
4. Players are eligible when they present this form to the gym supervisor.

1. Current High School rules with a few exceptions. No Dunking is allowed (including warm-up). Two-point technical foul will be awarded and the player is ejected from the game.
2. Uniforms - matching jerseys uniformly colored and styled. Number must be on the front and/or back of jersey (permanently attached). No duplicate numbers.
3. No Smoking, Drinking or eating in the gymnasiums.
4. All players must have a Photo I.D. present at all times.
5. Time Outs - Two per half (non-accumulative).
6. Tie breaker Procedures
   • Head to Head Competition
   • Least number of forfeits during the season
   • Total score difference in head to head
   • Flip of a coin.
7. Running Clock - 4 ten-minute quarters. The clock will stop in the last two minutes of the game if there is less than an 11-point difference in the score.
8. Any player ejected form a game may not participate in the next game.
